Rick Warren Biffs it Again

The topic of discussion on this Today Show interview is "The Purpose of Christmas". It was a perfect set up for discussing man's sin and need for a savior and how at Christmas we celebrate the incarnation of God and the reason for His coming to earth to die for the sins of the world. But, once again Rick Warren blew it. After watching and rewatching this interview we're not even sure what Warren thinks the "purpose of Christmas" is.

We think he was claiming that:

"Jesus Christ came for your greatest benefit"

"He sent Himself to earth so that we could know what he is like"

Well those purposes are NO WHERE mentioned in the scriptures.

Why is it that every time Rick Warren has an opportunity to proclaim the Gospel on national television he biffs it! This is making us wonder if Rick Warren even knows what the Biblical Gospel is?
